A Canon 30D box ... my cat loves it ... he couldn't wait for me to unpack, he already had half his body in the box before I could get the paperwork out.

So guess what my first images on the camera are ... the cat in the box :)

So after some maths, and yes deez, I do have some maths skills.  Don't even go there :P

Due to the increase, I am actually paying the equivalent of a 50mm F1.8 lens extra because I did not place this order about 5 days ago.

huh, so what's up .... it was 7 to 1 ... so finally after much very long agonising waiting, I decide I'm about to click 'Checkout Now' on B&H. but just quickly went to see the exchange rate, which now sits at a R7.41 to the $1 .... just freaking fantastic ...

So the new Canon announcement is out, for the Rebel XTi or 400D.
After much oohing and ahing, and reading countless forums on istock and dpreview and comparing specs for the 30D vs the 400D. It's official, I'm getting a 30D. 

Of course, a sincere thank you, for the huge amount of help and assistance from my advisor, Rockfinder, who endured amazing amounts of email and sitemail, and questions.

I'm REALLY excited and can't wait.  I've been doing some shopping at B&H (my first time) and have a little cart full of fun goodies already. The final order will be placed on Friday 1 Sep.  YAY!

Now, if I could just take about a month off work ... [       ] ... everything would be just perfect !
