You can probably get some idea compared to the leaf size, how small they are. I tried to get as close as possible, as you'll notice, my goal is to improve my photography skillz.
This is something that most South African kids have done, kept silkworms, and making friends with the kid who has a mulberry tree in their garden.
... a long story, the end result ... the proud owner of freshly hatched silkworms ...
No images of the eggs but pretty easy to imagine little tiny black spots ...

Number of worms: 23, I think ... they're so damn tiny.
